Most people take Peachy Clean without any side effects. It's designed to be gentle: a slow-fermenting prebiotic fiber with no inulin or FOS, plus a spore-forming probiotic that in clinical trials reduced occasional bloating and gas. Like any new daily routine, give your body a few days to settle in.

What are the possible side effects of Peachy Clean?

For most people, none. Peachy Clean is two ingredients, both listed with their amounts:

  • 4,000 mg resistant maltodextrin: a gentle, slow-fermenting fiber the FDA recognizes as a dietary fiber.
  • 1 billion CFU Bacillus coagulans: a probiotic with a strong safety record in healthy adults.

As with any food or supplement, allergic reactions are possible but rare. Stop and get help for a rash, swelling or trouble breathing.

Your first week on Peachy Clean: what to expect

  • Around 48 hours: many customers notice softer, easier trips. That's the fiber working.
  • Day 7: more regular, more complete trips. Give it at least this long before you judge it.
  • Weeks 2 to 4: most customers say it fully clicks, with shorter, easier prep.

"Ever since I purchased this product, I've noticed a difference. I no longer feel bloated or uncomfortable. I've also noticed I am more regular, which is fantastic."

Why Peachy Clean is designed to be gentle on your gut

Most fiber supplements only do half the job: psyllium powders add bulk but leave your gut bacteria hungry, and inulin gummies feed them so fast they leave you bloated. Peachy Clean is designed to do both jobs, gently.

A slow-fermenting fiber, with no inulin

Many fiber gummies use inulin or chicory root, which ferment fast. In a controlled study of chicory inulin products, flatulence and bloating were the most reported symptoms. We left inulin, chicory root and FOS out of Peachy Clean on purpose, because they're too disruptive for a fiber you take every day.

Instead it uses 4,000 mg of resistant maltodextrin, a soluble fiber that adds soft bulk and that gut bacteria ferment slowly. In a 3-week study, healthy adults taking 15 grams a day (almost 4 times our serving) had only very minor changes in gut tolerance. It's built from glucose, so it isn't one of the FODMAP carbs that commonly trigger bloating.

A probiotic studied for gas and bloating

Bacillus coagulans is spore-forming, which helps it survive stomach acid. In clinical trials, B. coagulans reduced occasional bloating, gas and abdominal discomfort, including one placebo-controlled trial in adults with gas-related symptoms after meals.

Fiber only works if you take it every day, so we made Peachy Clean a gummy you actually look forward to: gentle on your gut, with no gritty drink to mix. More on the science page and in our guide to Bacillus coagulans.

Does Peachy Clean cause diarrhea?

Not at the normal serving for most people. Peachy Clean is a fiber supplement that adds soft bulk to help stool hold together. It isn't a laxative.

For scale: in a dose study, healthy adults had no diarrhea at single doses of resistant maltodextrin up to about 1 gram per kilogram of body weight. For a 160-pound man that's around 70 grams, more than 15 times a 4-gram serving. Treat that as a ballpark, not a target.

Diarrhea that lasts more than a couple of days, or comes with fever, blood or severe pain, needs a doctor.

How to get the best experience from Peachy Clean

  • Stick to 2 gummies a day. That's the dose it's designed around; more won't speed anything up.
  • Take it with a full glass of water, and keep drinking through the day.
  • Be consistent. Same time every day, morning or evening.
  • Change one thing at a time if you're also starting other supplements or diet changes.
  • Anything severe or worsening: stop taking it and talk to a doctor.

Who should check with a doctor before taking Peachy Clean?

Peachy Clean is made for healthy adults, not under-18s. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first if you:

  • Are seriously ill or immunocompromised; health agencies note probiotics carry a greater risk for you.
  • Have Crohn's or ulcerative colitis, a history of bowel obstruction, or recent abdominal surgery.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Take prescription medicines. Ask whether to space them apart from fiber.
  • Have a corn allergy or other food allergies. Our fiber is made from corn; check the label.

Is Peachy Clean safe? Is it FDA approved?

No dietary supplement is FDA approved; the FDA doesn't approve supplements before sale. It does require makers to follow current good manufacturing practices, and Peachy Clean is made in the USA at an FDA-regulated facility.

The FDA recognizes resistant maltodextrin as a dietary fiber, and probiotics generally cause only mild digestive side effects, if any, in healthy people. For who we are and how the guarantee works, see Is Peachy Men legit?, or ask us anything through the contact page.

When to stop and see a doctor

Stop taking it and see a doctor if you notice:

  • Severe or worsening abdominal pain
  • Bleeding from your bottom, or blood in your stool
  • Fever, vomiting, or diarrhea lasting more than a couple of days
  • A persistent change in your bowel habits
  • Hives, swelling of the lips or face, or trouble breathing (get emergency care)

Your first order of Peachy Clean is covered by our 60-day money-back guarantee. Curious how it should feel when it's working? See our day-by-day Peachy Clean timeline.
